The better understanding of Cancer genet-ics, immunobiology & molecular biology has opened up new avenues to treat cancer in the form of not only chemotherapy but also immuno-modulators, cell therapies, gene therapies etc. The surgical options have also widened, extensive & radical surgeries are offered as well as radiation therapy has become more pre-cise.

Patients with oncological diseases need ICU care for illness either related to cancer or unrelated to cancer.
