The advancement of physiotherapy is coming in the form of a one-day gathering at G. Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNM) as "PHYSIOCON 2025," First Edition, on December 6, 2025, at GKD Auditorium, Coimbatore. The event focused on bringing new technologies & trends in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation with the theme of “Stronger together: Advancing Physiotherapy.” The main purpose of the event is to educate and promote the evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary approach, energize the professional community, discuss the intervention techniques, and highlight the vital role of technology in health care. For engagement, a poster competition will be held with exciting prizes. 

We welcome practicing physiotherapists, physiotherapy residents, physiotherapy interns, and students to connect with leaders and gain knowledge about the emerging technologies in physiotherapy. Dr. Ragupathy Velusamy, CEO of GKNM Hospital, will host this event. A dedicated and qualified expert team of doctors will address the event. Registration and the inaugural ceremony will take place in the morning. With a short break, Dr. S. Sundara Kumar, Medical Informatics Officer & Consultant Pulmonology, will share about the digital trends in rehabilitation. Dr. R. Shanmuga Sundaram, Chief Consultant of the Heart Failure Clinic & Echocardiology, talks about the role of exercise testing beyond ischemia detection, followed by Dr. Madhava Rao, Consultant of Cardiothoracic Surgery, who will address cardiothoracic surgeries. Illustrated and Explained. Dr. Sabarish Sivakumar will deliver a speech titled "BLS/CPR: The Kiss of Life." 

The post-lunch gathering will have an engaging session with Dr. R. Mahesh Mitra, HOD of the physiotherapy department, about cardiac rehab: key focus areas. Dr. S. Senthilkumar, a lung specialist, will talk about how to diagnose long-term lung diseases, and then Dr. Sivaguru, a rehab expert from KMCH in Coimbatore, will discuss the process that follows when someone is considered for a lung transplant. 

After these thoughtful learning sessions, the judging of the poster presentation competition and prize distribution will be held. Join the gathering and get updated about emerging technologies and trends with experts and experience the best learning.
