International Nurses Day 2026 Celebration

G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital proudly celebrated International Nurses Day on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the GKD Auditorium from 3.00 PM to 4.00 PM. The event was organized to honor the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of nurses in delivering quality healthcare services.

The celebration was conducted under the theme:

“Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”

The program began with a soulful prayer song performed by the staff nurses, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Ms. K. Poongodi, Chief Nursing Officer, who highlighted the critical role nurses play in patient care and community health.

The event was graced by our CEO, Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, who delivered the chief guest address and appreciated the commitment, resilience, and service spirit of the nursing fraternity.

A special Awards Distribution Ceremony was conducted to recognize and appreciate outstanding nurses for their dedicated service and professional excellence. The audience also enjoyed an inspiring video presentation showcasing the journey and achievements of the nursing team.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Lakshmi, ANS, expressing gratitude to the management, organizers, dignitaries, and nursing staff for making the event meaningful and memorable.

The event served as a wonderful occasion to acknowledge and celebrate the selfless efforts of nurses who continue to be the backbone of healthcare services.
