The Department of Cardiology at GKNM Hospital celebrated its 50th anniversary with a two-day event on May 10–11, 2025.

 Highlights included the launch of a commemorative book by Prof. C.N. Manjunath, renowned cardiologist and Honorable Member of Parliament, Bengaluru, a Golden Jubilee Conference with over 250 delegates, and expert sessions by Dr. Samin K Sharma, Director of Interventoinal Cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, USA and Dr. Graham Hillis, Head of the Department of Cardiology at the Royal Perth Hospital, Australia. 

 Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented, and the community-focused “Heart Emergency Learning Program (HELP)” was launched to teach Basic Life Support techniques. The event was a meaningful tribute to 50 years of excellence and a bold step toward the future of cardiac health.
