GKNM continued the excellence of sharing knowledge by hosting a successful event, “Unlocking Safe Anaesthesia,” 2nd Edition. The event focused on “Mastering oncoanaesthesia: Advanced Insights to Practical Wisdom” to continue the medical education by mentoring with advanced technologies and practices in anesthesia, especially in oncoanaesthesia (cancer surgery anaesthesia) and general anaesthesia. This event was held at the GKNM iOP auditorium on 14th December 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, CEO of GKNM Hospital, and Dr. B. Soundaravalli, organizing chairman of the event. This gathering was to brainstorm the practices and emerging trends in oncoanaesthesia with multiple talk sessions and hands-on training sessions in Hands on training in difficult Airway Management. The event included a masterclass on segmental spinal pain and a workshop on FATE and lung USG.

Thoracic Anaesthesia: Navigating the Complexities of Lung and Chest Surgery by Dr. Priya Ranganathan, Professor of Anesthesia, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. 

Post lunch, the event continued with a session on FATE-Focused Assessed Transthoracic Echocardiogram by Dr. Karthik Babu - Senior Consultant, Cardiac Anaesthesia, GKNMH, Coimbatore, and Dr. Kaushik Jothinath - Senior Consultant, Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia, GKNMH, Coimbatore. Basic Lung Ultrasound (BLUE Protocol), and Dr. R. Vijayaravindh - Consultant, Pulmonology, GKNMH, Coimbatore. The AIRWAY WORKSHOPS focused on Supraglottic Airway Devices and Video Laryngoscopes. The event concluded with a quiz competition with attractive prizes. After the session, participants were well-informed with attractive sessions and hands-on practice to improve their practices.
