Admissions

Patient / Attender has to contact the admission counter

  • Patient / Attender has to produce the admission order issued either by treating consultant or by the Medical Officer in the emergency room at the admission counter
  • The staff at the admission counter will check all the details in the admission order and will explain the types of accommodation available at the hospital with tariff
  • The admission staff will obtain the patient ‘s photo identity copy (Aadhar card, voter id, pan card, ration card, driving license, etc.,) which will be attached with inpatient records
  • During inpatient stay, if there is any unexpected medical complication or change in the treatment /diagnosis /others, financial counselling is given by Public Relation Officer
  • One attender is allowed to stay with the patient, at the time of admission an attender pass is issued for free movement within the hospital. Additional passes given to the patient / attender based on the room preferences.
  • An information booklet on the services offered, patient’s rights and responsibilities, procedures and policies are given to the patient / attender.
  • Food for patients will be provided at the hospital & attenders can order their meal from the hospital canteen. Outside food is strictly prohibited.

Room booking

  • For room booking the patient / attender has to approach the A block admission counter between 8:00 am to 7:00 pm & at C block, 24/7 services is available. Bookings can also be made over the phone call.

Sponsored Patients

  • Contact Public Relations Department to initiate the treatment process

Clinical Reports

  • Blood investigation reports can be collected at A block admission counter, C block waiting hall & D block blood collection center.
  • Radiology reports can be collected at specific units

Online reports :
Patients can view & print their blood investigation reports @ www.gknmh.org
Once the other investigation reports are ready, a sms will be sent to the registered mobile number.

Discharge

Planned discharge
  • The consultant will intimate the patient & his/her family members about discharge based on the health condition. The discharge summary & all medical reports will be handed over to the patient/FM after final settlement of the bill.
Discharge Against Medical Advice
  • On request from the family, discharge summary & all medical reports will be handed over to the patient or family members after the final settlement of the bill.
Death
  • Death summary, death report, crematorium form will be issued to the deceased family members. Bereavement services are provided to the family members.

Billing

Outpatient services
  • Prior payment is required to meet the consultant & for investigations purpose.
Inpatient services
  • 90% of the estimated cost to be deposited at the time of admission, in case of change in treatment or rooms, the difference in cost will be intimated by the PRO to the patient/ family members. Cash upto Rs. 2,00,000 can be paid at the counter / above 2 lakhs, card payment, DD or online transaction is preferred.

Health Information System

  • In case of any changes in the demographic details of the patient during or after discharge/ death, the family can submit any ID proof to make necessary corrections.
  • Only birth & death report will be issued by the department.
  • For insurance claim, copies of the case sheet of the patient can be collected at the department on request.
