Biography

  • Dr Tejaswi Hemachandran completed her super-specialty training (MCh) in Pediatric Surgery at the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore. During her extensive training and post-MCh tenure at CMC Vellore, she assisted, performed and taught in over 300 pediatric procedures and served as primary assistant in 50+ advanced robotic surgeries. Her clinical expertise spans neonatal anomalies, hepatobiliary procedures like choledochal cyst excisions, and urological reconstructions. 
  • She has been recognized for her academic pursuit, she has won multiple national awards from organizations like IAPS, PESICON, and MAMC and has presented the instituiton work in International conference as well. She earned her MBBS degree from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, where she maintained a definitive focus on pursuing a career in the surgical sciences. 
  • Subsequently pursued her Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery at JSS Medical College, Mysore. It was during this residency, that her interest streamlined towards pediatric surgical care, solidifying her commitment to specializing in the field. This foundation led her to pursue MCh at CMC Vellore.
