Institute Of Nursing

The Institute of Nursing was established in the year 1984 to commemorate the birth centenary of the Founder Shri. G. Kuppuawamy Naidu, who established The Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education and Medical Relief.

The Institute of Nursing is the 1st Private Nursing Institute established in Coimbatore District providing Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course.

The Institute of Nursing was fortunate to have its own infra structure from the year 1985 by the munificent donation of Padmashree Ms. Eve Lazarus a dedicated Social Worker and Philanthropist .The building was named John Esther Lazarus Block and was declared open by Dr. H. V. Hunde, the then Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Tamilnadu on 22nd August 1985.

The Institute of Nursing is recognised by the Government of Tamilnadu and the following Satutory Bodies

Eligiblity


  • A pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject or an equivalent with 12 years of Schooling
  • Minimum 50% marks in each subjects mentioned above including English

Timings


  • 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours on clinical days
  • 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours on non clinical days

Age Limit


  • A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission

Course Commencement


  • The course shall commence in the 1st week of August of the academic year

Working Days


  • Monday to Friday - Full working day
  • Saturday - Half working day
  • Second Saturday holiday
  • Public holidays as stipulated by the Institute

Clinical Experience


  • Will gain all the clinical experience as stipulated by the Statutory Bodies at G.Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital.
