MAZE Operations :

The surgical procedure for correction of AF is called MAZE procedure which is the 'gold standard'. Our center recently started doing this procedure. The center has the expertise and equipment to do all types of maze. We have done 6 cases so far with good results. Radio Frequence Probe (Cardioabalate) used for AF correction

Aortic Operations :

Aortic surgery is a challenge. We have a very impressive experience in this area and currently the center is well experienced and equipped to handle all types of aortic problems. These include Root replacement, Acute aortic dissection, Redo aortic surgery, Hemi-arch replacements, Thoracic and Abdominal aneurysms.

Redo Cardiac Operations :

Currently redo cardiac operation are no more unduly risky than to primary procedure. We routinely accept all kinds of complex problems which needs redo surgery.

Cardiac Tumors :

Tumours of heart are rare but do occur. The commonest is a Myxoma, a benign tumour. Tumours normally cause obstructive symptoms. We have done close to 25 cases of cardiac tumours.

Pericardial Disease :

Pericardial effusion and constrictive pericarditis are the two common entities for which surgery is offered. The procedure is pericardiectomy. It can be one of the most difficult cardiac operations even though it is outside the heart. This is slowly becoming uncommon due to aggressive treatment of Tuberculosis.
