Nephrology Overview

In 1978, GKNM Hospital had the distinction of being the first healthcare provider to offer haemodialysis facility in the district. The maintenance dialysis program for patients with chronic renal disease was started in the early eighties. It currently caters to an average of 100 out patients on Dialysis and offers specialised hybrid dialysis for the inpatients. It has staff strength of 30 members including 2 Nephrologists, Physician Assistants, Dialysis Nurses, Dialysis Technicians, Dialysis Assistant, and Transplant co-ordinator. We have dialysis unit, with latest technology, that provides all types of dialysis. Utmost care is given to quality with well trained and compassionate staff. A state-of-the-art water purification plant along with regular water tests ensures a continuous supply of ultra-pure water for dialysis.
