Corporate Social Responsibility

GKNMH values Empathy and Compassion

One of our core values, Empathy and Compassion, we at GKNMH, have taken our social responsibilities very seriously. We are involved in various projects as part of our service, extending our hands to provide and share in the care and well being of the society.

Raksha - Hospice Care was inaugurated on 13th June 2001, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the G. Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, and its service to community. Since then we have been providing high quality Palliative Care free of charge for cancer patients – especially the terminally ill, enabling/helping them to go peacefully and comfortably. The Hospice is 15 bedded unit where qualified medical personnel provide 24- hour care to terminally ill patients.

The Rural Health Centre – Veerapandi G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital had started a Rural Health Centre at the village Veerapandi, off Mettupalayam Road on 5 th May 1995. This rural health center was started to provide comprehensive health care for the villagers of Selvapuram, which is about 4 km off the main road and also to provide medical consultation and treatment for the surrounding villages free of cost. The trust had selected this place, because, inspite of being close to the city like Coimbatore, this village was totally isolated from civilization even without a road or bus service.

The centre provides the following medical services to the villagers, such as the following --
